Mehrere Singles wurden erfolgreich ausgekoppelt, doch auch die restlichen Tracks sind ausgezeichnet; "Man in the iron mask" ist wunderschön, die lange Version von "I'm gonna tear your playhouse down" war cool, genauso "Bite the hand that feeds". "Standing on the edge" ist eine Hammerballade, die unbedingt eine Single hätte werden müssen. Ausgezeichnete Scheibe! |

| ***** Erstklassiges Album, das auch seinen US # 1-Hit "Every Time You Go Away" enthält. Ohne Schwächen, sowohl die Covers als auch die Eigenkompositionen mit Keyboarder Kewley überzeugen. Besondere Erwähnung verdient der unglaublich starke Bassist Pino Palladino. |

| *** stimmt Elton, nur mehr DS - so schnell ist ein superstar wieder am boden der realität, schon in den 80ern war das so..bis auf die 3 singles kaum erwähnenswert, zu hause gab es trotzdem nochmal die #1.. |

Instead that so plastic music standard of that time, also for some great artists, Paul save the true soul and R&B music from the past in this album for modern generation and the result was great. |
| **** Hat 4-5 richtig gute Songs drauf (eben die bekannteren), aber daneben auch ebensoviele mässige bis ganz schwache..... Deshalb wäre eine 5 dann doch ein bisschen zu grosszügig. 4 + |
