edit: ein riesengrosser Ohrwurm! "Something I Need" ist gerade zu einem Highlight auf "Native" geworden :D

Tönt sehr gut und geht direkt in die Beine, wippte auf alle Fälle schon beim ersten Hören mit. Gut!

Diesen Song könnte ich mir gut im Radio vorstellen - möglicherweise eine zukünftige Single?
Mir jedenfalls gefällt "Something I Need" sehr gut!

This song built up into a faster and more upbeat tempo unnecessarily, I would have given this a 6 if it had been a ballad, the beginning is my favourite part; once the over production and what not kicked in the song became mediocre.

Geht gleich in fleisch und Blut über, dieser Titel von OneRepublic. Vielleicht rein hinsichtlich des Anspruchs nicht besonders herausragend, aber er macht wirklich sehr viel Spaß.

Die Melodieführung zeichnet das Lied aus. Fängt es eher unspektakulär an, hebt sich daraufhin der Refrain herrlich ab und eröffnet den eigentlichen Song. Ein gelungener Stampfpop-Song.

Pretty good but I prefer If I Lose Myself and Counting Stars.

Uses some of the same lyrical opposite cliches that were in "Counting Stars" (dead/alive contrasts etc). More importantly, I can't get over the fact that the chorus weirdly reminds me of "He's Gonna Step On You Again", the 'gonna stand by your fire...' bit of that. Otherwise it's enjoyable enough in this suspiciously more dynamic OneRepublic. 3.6

Far from their best material but nevertheless good.

One little aspect of 'Counting Stars' probably stopped me enjoying it as much as I would have liked. In this case, it's not as consistent but it's pretty decent. Ultimately, probably a touch less effective but still quite a fine effort. 3.5

Good follow up to CS even if it is not as good, but still a solid track.

I probably prefer this to "Counting Stars", but something about the lyrics in both songs irk me a little.

Finde den Song super, nicht gaaanz so gut wie Counting Stars und If I Loose Myself aber auch sehr gut, reicht für eine knappe 6! Finde das Video auch gut, nicht so OneRepublic typisch! :)

gefällt mir auf anhieb sehr gut. bei counting stars hats lange gedauert und habs nun auch zu oft gehört. aber diesen song kann ich noch oft hören, ganz gut gemacht!

Nope, this one is just dull.

I don't think it's as good as most of their singles and definitely not as good as Counting Stars but it's decent. The lyrics are badly written though - the similes are poor (you're like the net under the ledge, when I go flying off the edge, you go flying off as well makes no sense to me).

That video is terribly bad. Worst video of 2013 for me.

It's good, but lacks the X Factor that most of their past singles have had.

I like it, but there's something about Ryan Tedder songs.. they all sound the same.

I really thought of this as a lame song at first but now I have listened to it a lot and I have realised it's a pretty cool song.

▒ Een wat trage, matige, krappe voldoende track uit ½ maart 2013 van "OneRepublic", een Amerikaanse poprockband uit Colorado die in 2002 is opgericht door het duo: "Ryan Tedder & Zach Filkins" !!! Afkomstig van hun studioalbum: "Native" ☺!!!

Ik verwacht dat ook deze wel zal kunnen blijven in m'n hoofd rondspoken. Meer dan geslaagd dus.

OneRepublic finde ich irgendwie nicht mehr so stark wie noch zu Beginn.

Dominanter Beat, aber trotzdem ziemlich mau. Da gefällt mir "Counting Stars" bei weitem besser.

"Wir" etwas ältere Musikhörer kennen einen ähnlichen Stampfbeat noch aus der Glam-Zeit (Gary Glitter etc.). War halt alles schon mal da...

It's no 'Counting Stars' but it still does the job and has kept them up near the top of the charts.

A reasonable song which just seems to go from start to end without much spark. This does often remind me of 'Why Don't You Get A Job?', even though when I play both songs back to back it isn't obvious to me why I think that. 3.5*

Erinnert mich in der Melodieführung sehr stark an "Seasons In The Sun" von Terry Jacks. Das macht das Lied aber deswegen nicht schlecht!

Letzte Nacht hab ich auch zuviel getrunken, hehe.
Bis auf den Refrain eigentlich eine gute Nummer. Stieg nur auf der 50 ein, hatt sich aber gut entwickelt.

Durchschnittliche Radio Nummer.

Ah, hatte den Song am Wochenende mehrere Male am Radio gehört und fälschlicherweise (und freudigerweise) vermutet, es handle sich um ein neues Lied der Truppe. Schön eingängig, aufgerundete 5.

Bei OneRepublic gab ich viele 5er von mir, aber dieser Song hat endlich eine 6 verdient!

Schlaffe Nummer für Typen, welche die Bild-Zeitung für glaubwürdig halten, den Audi 100 gut finden und in einem Kosmos leben, von dem sie glauben, dass es darüberhinaus keine besiedelten Gebiete mehr gibt. Frau Sauer findet so etwas ganz bestimmt hervorragend, aber der kann man auch erzählen, dass es wieder Dinosaurier gibt, und sie glaubt das kommentarlos.

Something I really don't need.

I had high hopes of this one more than I did on Counting Stars. But this is a close favourite alongside "Apologise".

Didn't think too much of this when it first got released but now I love it. Alongside with the music video, 'Something I Need' encompasses the entirety of the theme of this album in a sort of ironic happy single. Personally, it's funny how that worked out.

Das lief damals bei mir rauf und runter. Mir gefällts das Lied auch heute noch mega gut.
